Spiritual Gift of Discernment

There are many gifts but the same Spirit for those that are in Christ. If you confess in your heart that Jesus Christ died for all mankind (and You), rose from the dead three days later, ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand thrown of God and fully believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior then you have the gift of the Holy Spirit residing within your heart and your life. Jesus Christ is the most wonderful, all-consuming, all powerful, King of Kings Lord of Lords who has already destroyed the enemy of evil. The Book has already been written from beginning to end, we just happen to be in the middle of the pages living our individual stories.

Through this revelation of many spiritual gifts that God distributed upon the departure of Jesus Christ resides one that is very useful for every Christian because without this gift, you would not automatically know things. I believe Christians have the ability of discernment, which is the ability to know things. However, many people do not cultivate this ability of knowing but push it to the way side.

Have you ever been in a store and just knew that you must leave immediately?

Have you ever had a sense of urgency and knew exactly what to do?

Have you sensed a presence around you that radiated anger or love?

Have you sensed emotions of other people, or emotions when people were not around that were not yours?

These are your spirit being in tuned with the Spirit of God, and your ability to discern things, emotions, good, bad, evil, or just an awareness of something is changing.

When you serve our Heavenly Father, He wants you to have the tools you need to live within this world in awareness, not in ignorance of Him or the spiritual realm. You go into battle on a daily basis and that battle is with the world and against the spiritual realm around you. It amazes me how many Christian believers live in ignorance and have been deceived by lying spirits into believing gifts such as discernment are occult related, not if you believe in your Heart that Jesus Christ is your Lord. All the gifts God distributes is given for the common good and for everyone's benefit, it is up to the person to keep their eyes fixed and focused on Jesus Christ so the gift isn't distorted.

Many churches and individuals speak of good and evil, and good and evil forces but are not conscience of their existence, it seems to be a myth to them, and they want to live in Happy Ever After Land, where there are no orge's, monsters, beast, ect. but that time isn't now... Jesus hasn't returned to us, but He has given us the tools to stand firm and stand strong with.

Discernment is the ability of knowing specific things, without a shadow of a doubt. (Chastity's definition)

Concerning Spiritual Gifts 1 Corinthians 12:1-11

"There are different kinds of (spiritual) gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work"

Now to each on the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinquishing between spirits(discernment), to another speaking in different kinds of tongues (talking in tongue. All these are the work of the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines."

Humble Service in the Body of Christ Romans 12:3-8

For by the grace given me I say to everyone one of you; Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgement. In accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace (faith) given to us. IF your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; If it is to encourage, then encourage; if it is giving, then give generously; if is to to lead; do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

RECOGNIZE THE SPIRIT 1 John 4:2-

"This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: EVERY SPIRIT that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. That would be the Spirit of the Antichrist (satan, devil, demons)"

There are many gifts that the Spirit of God distributed and He distributes gifts according to your FAITH.

If you have a gift then study that gift, cultivate that gift and let God use you for the purpose of that gift according to His Will and Purpose for your life... God Bless You and keep you all the days of your life...
